Doha:
A delegation of students from the University of Heidelberg in Germany visited the headquarters of the Qatar Olympic Academy, during their presence in Doha, as part of an educational tour that includes visits to universities in the State of Qatar, as well as to learn about live examples of Qatar's wider investment in sports, especially in recent years, specifically after the great and impressive success with which the State of Qatar stunned the whole world in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Visitors learned about the role of the Qatar Olympic Academy in spreading the sports and Olympic culture among the Qatari society in particular and neighboring communities in general, and the courses, programs and activities offered by the Academy through a detailed presentation.
The delegation was received by Mr. Khalil Ibrahim Al-Jaber, Executive Director of the Qatar Olympic Academy, and accompanied them on a tour of the Academy's facilities and halls to see the building and the services provided to the students.
On the sidelines of the visit, the German delegation attended part of the strategic planning lectures within the second semester of the advanced diploma program for the management of sports and Olympic institutions.
The visitors expressed their admiration and fascination with what they saw of the services, facilities, agenda and programs provided by the Academy, especially the books, references and sources they saw in the Olympic Academy Library.

Doha: As part of its ongoing efforts to promote Olympic culture and strengthen modern sports management concepts, the Qatar Olympic Academy concluded the activities of the course “Principles of the Olympic Movement in the Sports System – Management (1)”, held from June 7 to 11, 2026. The program attracted more than forty participants from inside and outside Qatar, reaffirming the Academy’s position as a leading regional center for specialized sports education
