The Qatar Olympic Academy concluded last Thursday the Sports for Special Needs Course, which the Academy is keen to organize annually due to its importance in both the sports and educational sector as well as the high demand for it by sports and statisticians as well as sports education teachers.

The course lasted for five days from February 27th to 31st, with the participation of more than thirty-five students from many different sports, academic and administrative disciplines.

The course was presented by Professor Omar Hindawi, a professor in the Department of Sports Qualification in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the Hashemite University in Zarqa, Jordan, who has a vast experience in this field as his message to the Master was to build a test battery to measure the skill performance of wheelchair basketball players in Jordan, while the doctoral thesis was entitled The Impact of Early Physical Activity (Models for People with Hyperactivity Disorder and Attention Deficit) and Professor Hindawi has field and professional experience. great in this area. 

The course dealt with many topics during the five days, whether at the Academy's headquarters or on the day devoted to practical application at Yarmouk Preparatory School for Boys.

The etiquette of dealing with persons with disabilities in general and in the sports field, in particular, has been reviewed, as well as providing participants with knowledge and information on the concept of sports training for persons with disabilities, as well as ways to prepare the training bag for persons with disabilities in the training unit (leadership in training, program design, load planning, exploration, ...).

Participants are also known for the methods and methods of sports training for persons with disabilities with the job classification system used in sports competitions for persons with disabilities.

The course also entailed the concept of sports training for persons with disabilities and specialized sports training (various sports) and introduced learners to the devices and tools used in sports for persons with disabilities.

The lecturer went on to the etiquette of dealing with persons with disabilities in general and in the field of sports, the recipes and skills of the coach and the sports qualification of the categories of persons with disabilities, in addition to your role as a trainer (the main functions of the coach), the sports selection of persons with disabilities, the patterns and categories of persons with disabilities and what are the functional classification categories of athletes with disabilities.

Learners learned about the most important tools and devices used in sports for persons with disabilities, training in the use of these devices and tools, as well as how to organize work in training, and factors and considerations important to the success of sports training programs for persons with disabilities.

Mental training for players with disabilities, the training unit for sports for persons with disabilities, the design of training programs and load planning, and how to prepare a basic sports program for physical readiness for players with disabilities, were a part of the discussion as well.
